Maximize Your Spark Reserves: A Hunter's Guide to Enduring Adventure

Obtaining All Spark Capacity Enhancements in Mina the Hollower

Increasing your ability to hold Sparks in Mina the Hollower is vital for navigating its perilous world. With greater Spark reserves, you'll mitigate the financial impact of defeat and gain easier entry to areas secured by spark-activated doors. There are three primary Spark Container upgrades to discover, alongside a special trinket that also bolsters your Spark count.

Acquiring the Ossex Spark Container: A Convenient Purchase

The most straightforward Spark Container upgrade can be found in Ossex. Head to the Emporium, the city's main shop located in the eastern part of the City Center. Here, you can acquire this crucial item for a cost of 1,500 bones. This initial purchase provides an immediate boost to your Spark-carrying capabilities.

Restoring the Mourner's Mile Statue for a Spark Container

To secure the Spark Container in Mourner's Mile, your quest involves restoring a headless statue. Begin by journeying to the Queensbury Crypt, a path accessible after clearing the Mourner's Mile Spike Vault and defeating the Duchess within. While in the crypt, consider locating the mirror and weapon upgrade points. Upon completion, reactivate the spark generator and proceed south. Back in Mourner's Mile: Knight's Rest, activate the pressure plate and burrow through the adjacent tunnel. The missing statue head is in the northwest; retrieve it by spending two kears (keys). If more keys are needed, they can be bought at the Kear Institute in Ossex. Once you have the head, carry it to the headless statue and place it. Exit the area to the northwest to uncover a treasure chest containing your next Spark Container.

Confronting the Dark Deluxy for the Septemburg Spark Container

The third Spark Container becomes available after activating the Septemburg spark generator. South of the generator, near the Underlab entrance, a new path emerges, leading to the Wastewater Canal. Deeper into the canal, past a room featuring a large boar, locate a cracked wall in the northeast corner. Breaking this wall reveals a spark door, requiring two sparks for entry. Inside, you'll encounter Luxy, who seeks the nearby spark generator. Navigate to Luxy by using the right-side pipe and moving left. Luxy's intermittent light will illuminate platforms; use these brief moments to jump across to the northwest sewer exit. Be mindful that Luxy's light also creates a forceful push. Once outside, return north to the spark generator. The generator's power transforms Luxy into the Dark Deluxy boss. After a successful battle, use a plasma vial on the defeated Dark Deluxy to claim your reward: the Septemburg Spark Container.

Unlocking the Spark Catcher Trinket: An Alternative Spark Boost

While not a traditional upgrade, the Spark Catcher trinket functions as an additional Spark Container. It can be purchased for 500 bones at Pinky's Parlor. If you've activated the Nox's Bayou train station (Swamp Station), head north from the Shanty Swamp lake until you find Pinky's Parlor to your right, requiring one kear to access. Alternatively, starting from Ossex, exit through the south gate into the Western Wilds, then proceed south until you encounter Buffo the frog. Pinky's Parlor is located east of Buffo. Additional resources are available for detailed navigation from Ossex to Shanty Swamp, and you might also consider securing Pinky's ladder for extra loot during your visit.
