Koei Tecmo recently unveiled plans for a demo of the upcoming Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered, set to arrive on the Switch 2 platform. Enthusiasts of the iconic action franchise will have the chance to experience a preview of this tactical combat title.

The eagerly anticipated demo for this engaging action experience is slated for release on September 24, 2026, with the complete game following shortly after, launching on October 1, 2026. Furthermore, developer Omega Force has confirmed that a complimentary update, introducing online two-player functionality, will be rolled out post-launch in January 2027. Offline local split-screen cooperative play will also be available from the outset.

This renewed edition consolidates Dynasty Warriors 3 and its expansion, Dynasty Warriors 3: Xtreme Legends, presenting them with contemporary visual enhancements and intensified action. Players will command over 40 different officers within the Three Kingdoms universe, engaging in spectacular 1-vs-1,000 battles across expansive landscapes. The original Dynasty Warriors 3 introduced fundamental elements that became hallmarks of the series, such as True Musou Attacks, simultaneous two-player gameplay, and a character progression system, notably becoming the first title in the series to surpass one million units sold. The Xtreme Legends expansion further enriched the experience with new narratives for seven additional officers, alongside customizable bodyguards, novel weaponry, and four distinct challenge modes, significantly broadening the gameplay scope. This announcement follows an earlier update from Koei Tecmo in June, which confirmed the cancellation of the original Switch version of the game.
