ElevenLabs, an innovator in AI audio technology, has announced a significant collaboration with Hasbro's AI Studios. This partnership aims to integrate an array of Hasbro's celebrated characters, including figures from the Transformers series, Mr. Potato Head, and characters from classic board games like Monopoly and Clue, into ElevenLabs' Iconic Marketplace. This platform serves as a hub for companies to license famous voices and likenesses for commercial uses. While some characters are already accessible, others, like Mr. Monopoly and Optimus Prime, are slated for future release, broadening the scope of AI-driven creative possibilities.

The strategic alliance between ElevenLabs and Hasbro's AI Studio was unveiled by Hasbro AI Studio CEO Bertie Thomson and ElevenLabs' Head of Partnerships, Dustin Blank, at the Axios AI+NY event in New York. The presentation featured demonstrations of AI-powered versions of popular characters such as Peppa Pig and Cobra Commander from G.I. Joe. Thomson emphasized a 'behavioral licensing' model, which ensures strict guidelines for character usage and opens up new avenues for dynamic and interactive experiences, particularly in contexts like theme parks where AI-generated voices could enhance character engagement.

This collaboration underscores the entertainment industry's growing interest in exploring novel revenue streams through artificial intelligence, leveraging established intellectual properties. Just a week prior, ElevenLabs expanded its platform by adding the voice and likeness of Marvel icon Stan Lee, joining a diverse roster of personalities including Matthew McConaughey and Albert Einstein. This move highlights ElevenLabs' rapid growth and market influence, following a substantial $500 million Series D funding round earlier this year, which elevated its valuation to $11 billion, signaling robust investor confidence in its vision for the future of AI-powered entertainment and licensing.

The convergence of AI technology with beloved cultural icons represents a progressive step forward, creating unprecedented opportunities for engagement and innovation within the entertainment landscape. This pioneering partnership demonstrates how technology can breathe new life into classic characters, fostering a future where imaginative interaction is boundless and inspiring.
