A Guide to Final Fantasy 14 Seasonal Events

Final Fantasy 14 regularly features a series of recurring seasonal events, adding dynamic content for players throughout the year. While precise dates aren't always revealed far in advance, these celebrations consistently take place around the same periods annually, offering a predictable rhythm for participants.

These events encompass a blend of real-world holidays, like Valentine's Day, Easter, and Halloween, reimagined with a distinct Final Fantasy flair, alongside unique in-universe festivities. Occasionally, the game also introduces special limited-time collaborations, such as the memorable Final Fantasy 15 crossover event that featured the iconic Regalia mount.

Current Festive Activities in Eorzea

Currently, Final Fantasy 14 is hosting its annual "Make it Rain" campaign. This event, which commences in Ul'dah with the quest 'It Could Happen to You,' offers players enhanced MGP rewards from various Gold Saucer activities. Additionally, participants can enjoy discounts on select MGP-related prizes when purchased from the campaign attendant, making it an opportune time to accumulate this valuable currency.

A notable highlight of the current "Make it Rain" campaign is the opportunity to reacquire the highly sought-after Senor Otter backpack. This adorable accessory had previously made a mysterious, albeit accidental, appearance in players' inventories during Patch 7.5, which was later identified as a bug. Now, players have an official chance to obtain this charming item, alongside the Senor Otter minion, as exclusive event rewards. The event also offers unique advertisements for previous "Make it Rain" campaigns, adding a touch of nostalgia for veteran players.

Anticipated Celebrations and Past Events

Looking ahead, the next major event on the Final Fantasy 14 calendar is expected to be the "Moonfire Faire," traditionally held in August. While specific details for this year's iteration are yet to be announced, the Moonfire Faire is consistently a summer-themed celebration, frequently taking place in Costa del Sol. Past events have often included engaging activities like jumping puzzles and have rewarded players with stylish, beach-appropriate glamours, perfect for the warmer months.

For those who may have missed out on previous Final Fantasy 14 events, there's no need to worry about permanent losses. Although old quests cannot be replayed, many seasonal event rewards eventually become available again. Items from previous seasonal vendors sometimes return for free in-game, allowing new or returning players to acquire them. Furthermore, highly coveted items such as mounts or minions are often added to the online store during the following year's corresponding celebration, providing an alternative route for players to obtain these exclusive collectibles.
