A new chapter in daytime television justice is set to unfold as CBS Media Ventures announces the premiere of “Adam's Law.” This syndicated court program will introduce Judge Adam Levy, the son of the iconic Judge Judy Sheindlin, to audiences. The series is poised to capture viewers with its commitment to truth and justice, echoing the signature style of its renowned predecessor, and marks a significant moment in the evolution of televised legal proceedings.

The highly anticipated trailer for “Adam's Law” showcases Judge Adam Levy, the son of the celebrated television judge Judith Sheindlin, in action. This new syndicated daytime court show, produced by CBS Media Ventures, is slated to make its debut on September 14. It will be aired across numerous CBS-owned stations, including key markets such as CBS LA and WCBS-TV New York, signaling a broad reach for its premiere.

“Adam's Law,” conceptualized by Sheindlin herself, highlights Levy's judicial approach, which mirrors his mother's distinct, unwavering commitment to uncovering facts and administering fairness. The trailer provides a glimpse into Levy's courtroom demeanor, characterized by sharp wit and direct commentary, a style reminiscent of his mother's impactful presence on the bench. In a notable segment from the promotional footage, Sheindlin expresses her belief that Levy's talent has matured to a point where he is ready to surpass her own achievements. She confidently predicts that “Adam's Law” will emerge as the leading program in daytime television, a testament to her faith in her son's abilities.

Sheindlin articulates her conviction in the trailer, stating, "I'm confident that he has that kind of entertaining personality that will endear him to the same viewing public that has embraced me for 30 years." Both Sheindlin and Roland Tieh are serving as executive producers for "Adam's Law," with Sandra Allen contributing as co-executive producer through CBS and Sheindlin’s production company, Queen Bee Productions.

Judge Levy brings a wealth of legal expertise to his new role, boasting a quarter-century of experience in the legal field. His prior judicial roles include presiding over cases on "Tribunal Justice" and "Justice on Trial," both accessible on Prime Video. Furthermore, Levy completed two terms as the District Attorney for Putnam County, where he was instrumental in establishing the Putnam County Intelligence Committee. His commitment to legal education is also evident through his teaching engagements at the National Institute of Trial Advocacy and the New York Prosecutors Training Institute.

The original "Judge Judy" program enjoyed a remarkable 25-season run, concluding in 2021. It consistently held the top spot as the most-watched first-run syndicated program, attracting an average audience of 10 million viewers per episode. Throughout its tenure, it was recognized as the highest-rated court show each season, solidifying Sheindlin's status as the most recognizable television judge of her era. At her career's pinnacle in the 2010s, following the conclusion of Oprah Winfrey’s daytime talk show in 2011, Sheindlin was celebrated as the highest-earning personality in daytime television, with an estimated annual income of around $47 million.

In 2021, Sheindlin initiated another series, “Judy Justice,” which premiered on Amazon Prime Video’s now-defunct Freevee platform. The inaugural season garnered an impressive 25 million hours of viewership, quickly establishing itself as IMDb TV’s leading original program in both initial streams and total hours watched.

The new program, “Adam's Law,” signifies a generational transition in daytime court shows, with Adam Levy aiming to uphold the high standards of justice and entertainment set by his mother. With his extensive legal background and Judge Judy’s endorsement, the show is well-positioned to become a prominent fixture in the competitive landscape of daytime television, continuing a legacy of legal drama for a new audience.
