LandBridge has announced an outstanding second quarter performance, marked by substantial revenue growth and improved profitability. The company's strategic focus on diversifying its land-based assets, particularly in digital infrastructure, is beginning to yield promising results. Bolstered by robust financial health and a clear vision for expansion, LandBridge is actively engaging in discussions for significant new projects while maintaining its strong operational guidance for the year ahead.
During the second quarter, LandBridge recorded an impressive revenue of $66.8 million, representing a 41% increase compared to the previous year and a 31% rise sequentially. Adjusted EBITDA for the same period reached $59.8 million, also up 41% year-over-year, demonstrating strong operational efficiency. The company's adjusted EBITDA margin stood at 89%, with cash flow from operations totaling $41.4 million and free cash flow at $40.2 million, an 11% increase from the prior year. These figures underscore the effectiveness of LandBridge's capital-light business model, which primarily generates income from royalties, leases, and surface-related revenues.
A key area of strategic growth for LandBridge is its digital infrastructure pipeline, particularly in West Texas. The company is in advanced stages of discussions with seven entities for projects that could support over 10 gigawatts of power generation and data center capacity. These potential projects leverage LandBridge's extensive land holdings, access to high-voltage transmission, natural gas, fiber connectivity, and abundant water resources, including 13.4 million acre-feet of brackish groundwater. This initiative aligns with the growing demand for data centers, fueled by advancements in artificial intelligence, and positions LandBridge as a crucial enabler of this sector's expansion. The company anticipates some of these projects could start generating lease revenue by the end of 2027, pending binding agreements.
From a financial flexibility perspective, LandBridge has significantly strengthened its position. The company successfully increased its revolving credit facility from $275 million to $375 million, with potential for further expansion to $475 million. This move, combined with a 25 basis point reduction in borrowing costs, has improved its liquidity and lowered its net leverage ratio to 2.5 times, down from 2.7 times in the previous quarter. With no debt maturities until 2030, LandBridge possesses considerable financial runway for future investments and acquisitions. Additionally, the board has approved a plan to convert the company from a Delaware limited liability company to a Texas corporation, aiming to enhance index eligibility and attract a broader investor base, further boosting its market visibility and liquidity. The company also declared a quarterly dividend of $0.12 per share and has an authorized $50 million share-repurchase program in place until December 2027.
LandBridge's second quarter reflects a period of robust financial achievement and forward-thinking strategic maneuvers. The company's ability to capitalize on its land assets for diverse revenue streams, coupled with its proactive approach to digital infrastructure development and fortified financial standing, positions it favorably for sustained growth and value creation. The leadership's confidence in reaffirming future guidance and pursuing corporate conversion indicates a clear trajectory towards enhanced market presence and shareholder returns.
