Emerging indications strongly suggest that the next installment in the 'Injustice' series is currently under development. A recent discovery, initially highlighted by MP1st, involved a stunt performer's resume that briefly referenced their work on 'Injustice 3.' The resume, associated with stunt coordinator Jake Huang, who also oversaw stunt work for 'Mortal Kombat 1,' specifically listed their participation as a double for the unannounced game. Although the resume has since been updated to remove this information, an archived version from July of this year confirms the explicit mention of 'Injustice' characters.

This resume leak provides additional insight into the potential character roster for the upcoming DC fighting game from NetherRealm Studios. Specifically, it suggests the inclusion of Supergirl and Batwoman. Supergirl (Kara Zor-El), a character previously featured in 'Injustice 2' with Laura Bailey as her voice actress, appears to be making a return. Batwoman, however, was notably absent from prior 'Injustice' titles, primarily due to her fate within the alternate DC timeline where the Joker's actions lead to Superman's transformation into a tyrannical ruler and Batwoman's demise. The possibility of her return raises questions, hinting at potential story elements such as a prequel setting, resurrection via the Lazarus Pit, or multiverse-related plot devices, which are common in superhero narratives.

Beyond the recent resume revelation, other pieces of evidence have accumulated to fuel speculation about 'Injustice 3.' A job advertisement for an 'unreleased AAA 2D fighting game' with characteristics aligning with 'Injustice 3' was recently spotted. Furthermore, several voice actors have alluded to the game's existence, and NetherRealm's creative director, Ed Boon, has been sharing 'Injustice' clips on social media platforms. The timing aligns with NetherRealm's typical development cycles, with a four-year gap between their last two releases and nearly four years since their most recent title, 'Mortal Kombat 1.' Should 'Injustice 3' indeed be on the horizon, fans are hopeful for an evolution in gameplay, particularly the refinement of certain combat mechanics.

The meticulous gathering of these clues underscores the vibrant anticipation within the gaming community for the next chapter in the 'Injustice' saga. This continuous flow of information, whether intentional or accidental, highlights the intricate dance between game developers and their dedicated fan base, eager for new adventures and the unfolding of beloved storylines. The collaborative nature of game development, involving numerous professionals whose work occasionally surfaces before official announcements, ultimately contributes to the rich tapestry of the gaming world, fostering a sense of shared excitement and discovery among players.
