Driving American Innovation: A Landmark Deal for Sustainable Energy Future

T1 Energy's Strategic Alliance for Domestic Solar Production

T1 Energy Inc. has reached a significant supply agreement with Clearway Energy Group, committing to provide 641 megawatts of solar modules. These modules will be produced using solar cells manufactured in the United States, specifically from T1 Energy's G2_Austin fabrication facility.

Enhancing U.S. Solar Manufacturing Capabilities

This collaboration aligns with T1 Energy's core objective of expanding solar manufacturing capacity within the U.S. simultaneously addresses the increasing market need for renewable energy components sourced domestically.

Texas Facilities to Power Solar Module Assembly

The solar modules specified in this agreement will undergo assembly at T1's G1_Dallas plant, a prominent 5-gigawatt solar module production facility situated in Texas.

Anticipated Production Milestones and Domestic Content Goals

The construction of T1's G2_Austin solar cell fabrication facility, initiated in December 2025, is projected to commence its initial production phase during the first quarter of 2027, with an annual capacity of 2.1 gigawatts. T1 Energy expects to deliver solar modules containing over 60% domestic content starting in 2027.

Clearway's Emphasis on Localized Supply Chains

Clearway Energy underscores the critical role of this partnership in advancing its renewable energy projects while simultaneously increasing the utilization of U.S.-manufactured components. Frances Cook, Vice President of Procurement at Clearway Energy, highlighted that such agreements with leading manufacturers like T1 are vital for delivering competitive and dependable projects. She expressed particular enthusiasm for integrating domestically produced solar cells into future construction, thereby generating American energy with American-made components.
