WaterBridge Infrastructure LLC demonstrated remarkable financial strength in its second-quarter performance, reporting all-time high revenue and adjusted EBITDA figures. This success is primarily attributed to a surge in produced-water volumes, favorable new contractual agreements, and strategic organic expansion within its comprehensive Delaware Basin network. Bolstered by these achievements, the company has revised its 2026 projections upwards for volumes, adjusted EBITDA, and capital expenditures. These elevated forecasts reflect the positive impact of the recently completed acquisition of Ranger Water Midstream and the pending purchase of the NDB Landfill in Lea County, New Mexico. Furthermore, WaterBridge is actively exploring burgeoning demand from data centers for water resources, signaling potential new avenues for growth and diversification beyond its core operations.

The company's robust operational and financial results underscore its effective strategy in navigating the dynamic energy sector. By enhancing its infrastructure and strategically expanding its waste management capabilities through acquisitions, WaterBridge is not only improving its current service offerings but also positioning itself for sustained long-term growth. The focus on integrating new assets and optimizing existing operations, alongside an opportunistic approach to emerging markets like data center water demand, illustrates a forward-thinking business model designed to capitalize on evolving industry needs and environmental considerations. This proactive stance, combined with a strong financial base, paves the way for continued success and market leadership.

Exceptional Second-Quarter Financial Achievements and Strategic Expansion

WaterBridge reported an impressive second-quarter, with revenue climbing to $217.8 million, marking an 8% sequential increase. Net income saw a significant jump, rising to $14.6 million from $9.5 million in the prior quarter. Adjusted EBITDA also experienced a substantial gain, increasing by approximately 12% sequentially to $115.8 million, up from $102.9 million. These positive results highlight the company's operational efficiency and strong market demand. The chief financial officer noted that the adjusted EBITDA margin reached 53%, a testament to improved throughput, the scalability of WaterBridge's infrastructure, and disciplined operational management. Adjusted operating margin reached $124.1 million, an increase from $111.3 million in the first quarter, while gross margin improved to $58.1 million from $48.2 million. Capital expenditures for the quarter totaled $123.3 million, primarily allocated to the Speedway development and ongoing infrastructure expansion along the state line.

The company concluded the quarter with a solid liquidity position of $347.6 million, comprising $47.6 million in cash and approximately $300 million in available revolving credit capacity. Total debt stood at $1.636 billion, with a covenant net leverage ratio of 3.3 times. Following the quarter's close, WaterBridge enhanced its revolving credit facility commitments from $500 million to $750 million, with a potential to further expand to $1 billion. This amendment also reduced borrowing costs by 25 basis points across the pricing grid, reflecting the company's improved credit profile and financial health. WaterBridge reaffirmed its long-term objective of maintaining a leverage ratio below 3 times, demonstrating a commitment to prudent financial management and sustainable growth. This strategic financial strengthening supports the company’s ambitious expansion plans and continued investment in critical water infrastructure.

Enhanced 2026 Forecasts and Expanding Infrastructure Portfolio

For the second consecutive quarter, WaterBridge has revised its full-year 2026 outlook upwards, now projecting volumes between 2.55 million and 2.75 million barrels per day and adjusted EBITDA ranging from $435 million to $475 million. This optimistic revision is largely attributed to the anticipated contributions from the Ranger Water Midstream acquisition and the NDB Landfill purchase in the latter half of the year. Concurrently, the company increased its 2026 capital expenditure guidance by $100 million, setting a new range of $530 million to $590 million. This expanded capital program includes strategic investments aimed at integrating Ranger assets with the Speedway system, constructing a new state-line landfill, accelerating the New Devon project, and implementing other customer-backed new-build and bolt-on infrastructure initiatives. These projects are carefully selected to meet WaterBridge's stringent capital allocation criteria, ensuring build multiples below 5 times, long-term contracts, and engagement with creditworthy counterparties, thereby maximizing returns and minimizing risks.

WaterBridge has successfully finalized the acquisition of Ranger Water Midstream, significantly enhancing its operational footprint with additional disposal wells, approximately 30 miles of produced-water gathering pipelines, a treatment facility, and substantial storage capacity, all strategically located in the disposal-constrained Lea County. The company also announced an agreement to acquire the 560-acre NDB Landfill, which boasts extensive permitted capacity, ensuring over 40 years of future waste management volumes. These acquisitions are poised to bolster WaterBridge’s waste management business, projecting it to constitute roughly 10% of total operations, up from about 5% at the time of its initial public offering. Furthermore, the board has approved the construction of a new 280-acre environmental waste-management facility, expected to commence in the third quarter with an anticipated mid-2027 in-service date. This project, which is projected to have a capital payback period of approximately two years, will mark WaterBridge's fourth site in the basin, further solidifying its presence. The Speedway Phase I system commenced operations in July and is on track to reach 100,000 barrels per day, with commercial discussions for Phase II advancing rapidly, indicating potential for further expansion. In a move towards diversification, WaterBridge is actively exploring opportunities in the data center sector, leveraging its extensive brackish water resources and existing infrastructure to meet the growing demand for cooling solutions, while also collaborating with regulatory bodies to establish frameworks for treated produced water applications.
